MCSD announces open houses, 2018 application deadline for magnet programs

The Muscogee County School District has announced the open house schedule and application deadline for students to attend its middle school and high school magnet programs next school year.

Here are the key dates in the application process:

Oct. 19 through Dec. 12, open house sessions.

Feb. 3, the entrance criteria or exam for any prospective student must be complete. Only students new to MCSD are allowed to apply to a magnet program after this date.

Feb. 7, MCSD mails notification to parents and guardians whether their child is accepted to the program to which they applied.

March 2, parents and guardians must return enrollment forms acknowledging acceptance.
