Fort Benning auctions to offer used rifles, pistols, boats, motorcycles, trucks
The Morale, Welfare and Recreation division at Fort Benning will have two auctions in March featuring everything from weapons to transportation.
The auctions are open to the public and acceptable forms of payment include cash, most credit cards, and checks with a bank letter to guarantee funds.
The first auction will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 13 at Building 2384, 7701 Prussman Street on Fort Benning’s Main Post.
Among the items to be auctioned are used pistols, shotguns, rifles, furniture, pontoon boats, a bass boat, golf carts, lawn equipment and restaurant equipment.
The merchandise may be previewed 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. March 9 and 12.
You must be 21 to bid on a pistol.
The second auction is 10 a.m. on March 20 at the auto lot located on the corner of Kilgore and Marchant.
Among the items available will be cars, trucks, motorcycles and trailers.
The merchandise may be be previewed from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. on March 16 and March 19.
Those without identification should enter the post via the I-185 gate. You must stop at the visitor center to get a pass.
