Fort Benning auction featuring guns postponed
The Morale, Welfare and Recreation division at Fort Benning has decided to postpone one of two auctions planned for March.
No reason was given.
The postponed auction, which was scheduled for March 13, was to feature used pistols, shotguns, rifles, furniture, pontoon boats, a bass boat, golf carts, lawn equipment and restaurant equipment.
An auction featuring cars, trucks, motorcycles and trailers will be held on post at 10 a.m. March 20 at the auto lot located on the corner of Kilgore and Marchant.
The merchandise may be previewed from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. on March 16 and March 19.
The auctions are open to the public and acceptable forms of payment include cash, most credit cards, and checks with a bank letter to guarantee funds.
Those without identification should enter the post via the I-185 gate. You must stop at the visitor center to get a pass.
