‘Sudden summer weather’ coming to GA. Here’s when to expect much hotter temps, AccuWeather says
It’s been a cool May to start, but things are about to heat up in Georgia.
According to AccuWeather meteorologists, “sudden summer weather” is expected to sweep through the southeast region, creating heat and humidity. But how hot will it get and when?
“When combined with surging humidity and strong sunshine, AccuWeather RealFeel Temperatures could approach or exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit for a few hours on two or three days,” said Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.
The heat is expected to arrive Sunday and last through Tuesday, with Monday and Tuesday being the sunniest and hottest.
National Weather Service experts are also predicting similar temperatures: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday temperatures will be around 90, with lows in the mid 60s.
Things cool off slightly later in the week, with rain is in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.
