This popular Georgia-made beer tastes like summer. Here’s where to find it in Columbus.

Popular LaGrange craft brewery Wild Leap Brew Co. has re-released an ice cream-inspired beer that might take you back to the days of your childhood.

The Truck Chaser Creamsicle Double IPA began returning to shelves near the end of January, the company said.

The beer, first brewed in 2019, is made with a flavor combination of ripe oranges, vanilla bean and milk sugar. It is one of Wild Leap’s most requested to return beers of all time, according to the company.

The beer has received a 4.1 out of 5 rating calculated from 2,270 reviews on Untappd, a geosocial networking service and app where users can discuss and review beers.

“We’ve had so much fun creating this beer and fine-tuning the blend of hops and creamy milkshake flavor,” Wild Leap co-founder Anthony Rodriguez said in a statement. “We’re excited it’s back and we can’t wait to share what we’ve got in store for 2020.”

The beer can be found in the Wild Leap tasting room as well as stores, bars and restaurants throughout Georgia. According to the brewery’s beverage finder map, you can buy or order the beer at these locations in Columbus:

Cagney’s Party Shop, 5751 Milgen Road

Hudson’s, 6298 Veterans Pkwy Suite 7A

Midland Beverage, 7450 Blackmon Road #500

Publix, 7600 Schomburg Road

Publix, 1639 Bradley Park Drive

Residents in northern Muscogee County can find the beer at 219 Food and Spirits (5167 Georgia 219 in Fortson). Truck Chaser Creamsicle will only be around for a limited time, Wild Leap said.

Founded in 2017, Wild Leap was named the country’s best new brewery in USA Today’s 10Best 2019 awards.
