An Outback Steakhouse is opening up this week in Phenix, City.

The Australian-themed restaurant at 3531 U.S. Hwy. 80 was set to open May 20, according to the restaurant’s website. Two job positions, a prep cook and line cook, still are vacant at the new restaurant.

This addition is a part of an 11.6-acre retail and commercial development that includes other popular chains like Starbucks, Chipotle and Jersey Mike’s Subs.

Outback Steakhouse has over 700 locations across the United States, according to its website, including Columbus.
