Columbus restaurant unexpectedly closes one location. See their announcement

Poke Sun’s Midland Commons location, 6835 Midland Commons Blvd., permanently has closed in Columbus. The closure went into effect Aug. 1. Reasons for the closure are unclear.

Their Banks Food Hall location, 1002 Bay Ave., remains open.

This closure message was posted on the restaurant’s doors at the Midland Commons location: “Effective August 1st, Poke Sun at this current location will permanently be closed. Poke Sun at the Banks Food Hall location will continue to be open. Thank you for your support.”

The restaurant’s closing also was announced on the Midland Commons Facebook page Aug. 3.

“We’re sad to share that Poke Sun has officially closed its Midland Commons location,” the post says. “But good news — you can still enjoy their signature poke bowls at their downtown spot at the Banks Food Hall.”

The restaurant opened its Midland Commons location in June 2024.

Representatives at Poke Sun and Midland Commons did not respond to the Ledger-Enquirer’s requests for comment before publication.
