Dutch Bros Coffee is building its first location in the Columbus area.

Construction is underway in Phenix City at 2039 U.S. Highway 280/431 in the Phenix Corners shopping center, near Slim Chickens and Firehouse Subs.

The shop will serve the company’s signature lineup of coffee, teas, smoothies and energy drinks, offering a quick stop for commuters along one of Phenix City’s busiest corridors.

Dutch Bros’ opened a location in Auburn this year, continuing the brand’s expansion in Alabama. The company, founded in Oregon but headquartered now in Arizona, had 1,043 locations in 19 states as of June, according to Yahoo Finance.

Representatives of Dutch Bros did not respond to the Ledger-Enquirer’s request for comment.
