‘Foodie experience you won’t want to miss’ to benefit this Columbus organization
The Columbus Symphony Orchestra has announced the list of food vendors for this year’s edition of its annual Toast of the Town fundraiser.
Here are the businesses providing the food for the March 6 event, from 7-10 p.m., in the Columbus Convention & Trade Center, 801 Front Ave.:
The Cookie Co.: gourmet, stuffed and deep-dish cookies, decorated sugar cookies and custom cookie cakes.
Warehouse 9: classic American cuisine.
West Georgia Farmers Cooperative: produce, herbs, dairy and other farm products.
405 Cafe and Bakery: handmade pastries, baked goods and sourdough breads, as well as handcrafted coffee drinks and classic sandwiches.
Sweet Charlotte’s Kettle Corn: offering a variety of flavors.
LA’s To Go & Catering: also known as Lastogo, a family-owned food truck serving comfort food, such as burgers and wings.
Native Nut Company: jumbo boiled peanuts in classic and bourbon Cajun flavors.
Country Club of Columbus: menu not provided.
Chicken Salad Chick: Southern-style with a variety of sweet and savory flavors, along with sides including grape and broccoli salads, homemade pimento cheese, gourmet soups and seasonal desserts.
Clean Eatz Kitchen: café featuring healthy meals, smoothies and snacks.
Sarah’s Sweet Sensations: handcrafted baked goods and desserts.
The CSO’s news release promises, “This is one foodie experience you won’t want to miss, and spots won’t last long!”
It’s the 16th year for this fundraiser benefiting the CSO, founded in 1855 — the nation’s second-oldest orchestra, trailing only the New York Philharmonic, founded in 1842.
In addition to those food vendors, Toast of the Town includes world-class wines, handcrafted beers, Southern spirits and a silent auction.
Tickets are on sale at universe.com. The price of each ticket, $143.86 per person, comes with a complimentary souvenir wine glass.
Must be 21 or over to enter the event. Suggested attire is dressy casual.
