Mountain Dew White Out Is Back-and It's More Exclusive Than Ever
Mountain Dew White Out is officially returning for summer 2026, the brand confirmed.
Months after rumors began swirling about the return of the fan-favorite soda flavor, the PepsiCo brand revealed it would be launching a special American Dew to celebrate its "Tennessee roots and nearly 80 years of bold, unapologetic American taste." Coincidentally, the campaign also coincides with the 250th anniversary of Independence Day, and some had initially believed American Dew would mark the long-awaited comeback of White Out. Obviously, that wasn't the case, but it doesn't really matter now because Parade can finally confirm that White Out is coming back this season, just maybe not how fans expected.
While it's not unheard of for flavors to be exclusive to retailers (like Mountain Dew Star Spangled Splash and Baja Blast Midnight), Mountain Dew is taking a different approach with the return of this popular soft drink flavor, releasing it only as part of a patriotic variety pack heading out this month.
Mountain Dew White Out Returns as Part of Its Limited-Edition America Variety Pack
Mountain Dew White Out first launched in stores over a decade ago, debuting as part of a limited-time promotion in 2010. The "smooth citrus" soda remained available until it was phased out in 2023. Now, three years later, it's coming back as part of Mountain Dew's America Variety Pack.

The memorable soft drink will join Mountain Dew Code Red (cherry-flavored) and Mountain Dew Voltage (blue raspberry), forming a festive red, white, and blue drink trio perfect for sipping on during upcoming FIFA World Cup watch parties, summer barbecues, and historic America250 celebrations.
From what Parade is told, the America Variety Pack will feature six 12-ounce cans of each flavor (18 total) and be available at retailers nationwide for an average MSRP of $10.47 beginning on Monday, May 18-but only for a limited time this summer.
In honor of both its anniversary and that of the U.S., Mountain Dew is hosting a nationwide contest that offers lucky fans the chance to win thousands of $250 cash prizes. Now through July 11, fans can visit the official sweepstakes website for more information and official details.
