There's a reason the saying goes "as American as apple pie," as the sweet dessert is closely associated with the United States. But with sweltering temperatures forecasted for much of the country this Independence Day, a baked dessert fresh from the oven doesn't sound as appetizing as if we weren't about to be under a heat dome.

Luckily for Sam's Club shoppers, the popular warehouse giant is going all in on the America 250 celebrations with its latest food court offering, and it'll keep you cool in the process. As Food & Winereports, the latest limited-time dessert at Sam's Club is the new Americana sundae, a seasonal and patriotic combination of vanilla frozen yogurt and flaky pieces of apple pie.

If you're a regular Sam's Club shopper, you may be familiar with the Member's Mark Honeycrisp apple lattice pie. This award-winning dessert was named a national champion by the American Pie Council in 2024. In addition to the Honeycrisp apples in its name, the pie features notes of cinnamon and sugar. According to Food & Wine, the Americana Sundae will be available for under $2 at Sam's Club warehouse food courts starting today through July 31.

"It's the perfect sweet treat to celebrate classic American flavors," a Sam's Club warehouse in Illinois wrote on Facebook, prompting a fan to comment, "I'll take one."

Though this limited-time sundae flavor was selected directly by Sam's Club, the warehouse chain is usually a bit more democratic when it comes to its dessert offerings, giving customers the chance to vote for their next favorite, like February's caramel and cinnamon palmier flavor.
