I got your recs. Now vote in this poll to help me find the best cheap eats in Columbus

The results are in.

Two weeks ago, I sent a call-out to our readers for their cheap eats recommendations in the Chattahoochee Valley. Now, thanks to all your responses, I’ve got a pretty comprehensive list of restaurants and other eateries to mix up my lunch routine and sample different cuisines in the Columbus area.

I received 16 recommendations, proposing I sample gourmet hot dogs, barbecue, jerk chicken, dumplings and more. Here are some of the comments:

  • J Carroll suggested on the Google Form for me to try Mercy’s Jamaican Kitchen because “the flavors are wonderful and the large portion is enough for two meals.”
  • Alton Russel recommended Country’s Barbecue, writing on Facebook that “any of the three Country’s is always good for BBQ or, in summer, the fresh veges, great food, great service and hometown fun.”
  • James Bonner suggested by email the sandwiches at Hog Rock Bar-B-Q in Phenix City.
  • Kacey Jo praised on Facebook the hot dog offerings at Jordan’s Grill Gourmet Dawgs and Frank’s Alley.

Now I need your help again. While I’m in Columbus, I plan to hit several spots on my locally curated list, but I can only review one for the Ledger-Enquirer.

Out of all the places recommended, which is the top bargain I need to hit? Please fill out this poll (attached below) to help me decide — and share the link with your friends to help them vote and increase the chances of your favorite winning. You can vote as many times as you want until the noon July 8 deadline.
