A business in Smiths Station has closed its doors after being open for about a month.

The American Dream confirmed in an Tuesday morning Facebook post that the restaurant, located at 2245 Lee Road 430, has closed.

“We appreciate each person that helped to build this business and encourage us along the way,” a portion of the Facebook post read. “We appreciate everyone respecting this decision and hope y’all have a blessed day!”

The American Dream opened in December 2019 and had an official grand opening on January 25. The restaurant served jumbo chicken wings and peanut butter pie, according to the Opelika Observer.

This isn’t the only restaurant to recently close in the Chattahoochee Valley. Mr. Ed’s on Broadway shut their doors on Feb. 18.

The location will soon be filled with a country cafe and eatery named Southern Roots.
