They were voted best burger in Columbus. Now, this beloved restaurant is being sold

One year after this beloved family restaurant won the Ledger-Enquirer’s readers poll award for best burger in Columbus comes the news that B. Merrell’s is being sold.

Fear not, Chattahoochee Valley foodies, the restaurant at 7600 Veterans Parkway will continue to serve its customers as usual because Barry Merrell has agreed to sell the 31-year-old business to a longtime employee, LynnAnn Chamberlin.

The L-E didn’t reach Merrell or Chamberlin for comment before publication, but Jennifer Gardner, one of the restaurant’s manager, confirmed the deal Wednesday.
