Burlington Stores to hold grand opening, giveaways for its new Columbus location

Burlington Stores is holding a grand opening for its new Columbus location on Whittlesey Boulevard on Oct. 28, according to a news release.

The store relocated from Airport Thruway to its new location at 5555 Whittlesey Blvd, suite 2300.

“Our goal is to continue to offer communities great values on brand name merchandise for the entire family and home,” said Burlinton Stores CEO Michael O’Sullivan in the news release.

Burlington will be donating $5,000 to Johnson Elementary School through its partnership with the national non-profit organization adoptaclassroom.org. The retailer will present the donation to local school and district leaders during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, with will take place at 9:15 a.m. on Oct. 28.

There will be giveaways and prizes throughout the opening weekend, the release said. When Burlington opens on Oct. 28, the first 200 customers who are at 18 years old will receive a $5 “Bonus Card” to use towards their purchase.

On Oct. 29, the first 200 customers will receive scratch-offs that reveal prizes up to $250 that they can use towards their purchase, and on Oct. 30 customers will receive a free Burlington tote while supplies last.

Burlington plans to hire around 65 full-time and part-time associates for the store, according to the release, and encourages anyone interested to apply online.

The store hours will be Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. through 12 a.m. and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. through 10 p.m.
