LIST: What Columbus restaurants are open, closed during coronavirus pandemic

Chairs were set upside down on tables inside Fountain City Coffee Co. Monday as management hoped to discourage people from lingering after purchasing their beverages.

On Tuesday, the coffee shop had sent all of its employees home to self-isolate, while co-owners Jud and Edy Richardson and another employee worked to-go orders and curbside delivery.

By Friday, the shop had announced they would be closing for the foreseeable future.

A Facebook post cited the first confirmed novel coronavirus case in Muscogee County as the tipping point.

It’s a story being repeated not only across Columbus but across the entire country this week as the count of people testing positive for COVID-19 has continued to rise with more and more test kits becoming available.

Columbus Mayor Skip Henderson announced Friday evening that all restaurants must close dine-in services and transition to take-out options.

Some restaurants continue to offer limited and no-contact delivery and to-go orders, while others have closed shop to ride out the pandemic. The Ledger-Enquirer has compiled a list of the status of local restaurants:

Local restaurants open

  • Trevioi Italian Kitchen is offering curbside pickup of to-go orders. Orders can be placed by calling 76-580-8136.

  • Minnie’s Uptown Restaurant has no-contact delivery available with Grubhub, Waitr, DoorDash and Uber Eats. Customers can also order online at www.minniesuptown.com to grab and go.
  • The Chicken Lady’s Coop has no-contact delivery available with Waitr and Uber Eats. Customers can also order online at www.chickenladycoop.com and have food brought to their car.
  • Vertigo Fusion Kitchen has delivery available with Waitr and to-go and curbside pickup orders can be placed by phone at 706-221-5698.
  • Bare Roots has delivery available with Uber Eats and Waitr and to-go and curbside pickup orders can be placed by calling at 706-887-0005. The Bare Roots Bibb Cafe is offering delivery in Columbus, Harris County and Cusseta. Delivery is free for senior citizens and free within a five-mile radius of the 2nd Avenue location. Orders can be placed any day of the week and child-size portions are also now available. Orders should be emailed to info@eatbareroots.com.
  • The Black Cow is offering to-go orders and curbside pickup, which can be placed by calling 706-321-2020.
  • The Wynn House is offering curbside pickup of frozen orders. Orders can be placed by calling 706-323-1895.
  • Stock Market Dueling Kitchens is offering to-go orders and curbside pickup. Orders can be placed by calling 707-507-3530.
  • Plucked Up Chicken & Biscuits is offering to-go orders, which can be placed by calling 706-225-0044.
  • Midtown Coffee House has curbside pickup and free delivery, which can be ordered online at midtowncoffeehouse.com.
  • The Speakeasy has curbside pickup, which can be ordered by calling 706-561-0411.
  • Dinglewood Pharmacy is shortening the soda fountain hours, closing at 4 p.m. The pharmacy hours will remain the same at 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Delivery, curb side and drive-thru services are available for both the soda fountain and pharmacy, and orders can be placed by calling 706-323-0616.
  • Hudson’s at Main Street has take out and curbside pickup, which can be ordered by calling 706-507-5384.
  • My Boulange is offering to-go orders and curbside pickup, which can be placed by calling 706-940-0112. Curbside pickup lunch specials are also offered, including a kids lunch box with two mini croissant sandwiches, fresh fruit and apple juice.
  • The Country’s Barbeque Broadway location has a drive-thru lane to order food as well as designated parking near the pickup door for to-go orders. Call in an order at 706-596-8910 to have the food brought out to your car. The restaurant is also offering to-go orders at the other two locations: call 706-660-1415 to pickup curbside at the Veterans Parkway location or call 706-563-7604 for pickup at the Mercury Drive location. The Broadway location also has Waitr if you live within 15 minutes of the store.

  • Sally Ann’s Kitchen has takeout and delivery, which can be ordered by calling 706-221-6192 or 706-221-6195.
  • Parker’s Pantry is taking call-in order and walk-up orders at their frond door. Customers can choose curbside delivery or pick up from a side window. Orders can be placed at 706-984-8307.

  • Jim Bob’s Chicken Fingers Columbus is now drive-thru only. Delivery is available through DoorDash and Waitr. Customers can also call in orders at 706-221-8218 and have food brought to their car.
  • The Simple Greek has curbside pickup available. Order through their app or call 706-507-4976 (downtown) or 706-940-0530 (Midland).
  • Your Pie has curbside pickup and delivery available, which can be ordered by calling 706-507-1743.
  • Bonefish Grill has carryout available which can be ordered by calling 706-321-2015.
  • Carrabba’s Italian Grill is offering delivery, which can be ordered by calling 706-494-8144.
  • Outback Steakhouse is offering curbside takeout and delivery, which can be ordered by calling 706-324-6700.
  • Metro Diner is offering curbside pickup or delivery on DoorDash and Uber Eats. Orders can be placed at metrodiner.com/order.
  • Texas Roadhouse is offering curbside to-go and family packs. Orders can be placed through the website or app or by phone at 706-323-6616.
  • Denny’s is offering carryout and delivery. Delivery fees will be waived and customers can request contactless delivery. For both carryout and delivery guests can order online at dennys.com.
  • Bojangles’ has closed its dining rooms and will only offer drive-thru service and delivery and takeout where available.
  • McDonalds has closed its dining rooms and will only offer drive-thru service and takeout.
  • Chick-fil-a has closed its dining rooms and some restaurants may only offer service through drive-thru while others may be able to offer takeout, delivery or mobile order options.
  • Firehouse Subs has closed its dining rooms and will only offer counter service for take out orders, its “Rapid Rescue” on-line ordering system, call-in orders via phone, and where available, third-party delivery services and drive-thru services.
  • Arby’s has closed its dining rooms and will offer drive-thru service as well as delivery through DoorDash and Uber Eats where available.
