Alabama

As of 1:30 p.m. Sunday, a total of 11,742 novel coronavirus cases were reported in Alabama, according to the state’s Department of Public Health.

The number of reported cases in Lee County stands at 449, while Russell County’s total is now at 100.

There have been 156,350 tests done statewide. Private labs are not required to report negative tests — meaning it’s possible that the actual number of tests conducted could be greater.

The state reports 485 COVID-19 related deaths Sunday afternoon and 1,391 hospitalizations related to the virus since March 13.
