Snow day in Columbus ended with more than 100 wrecks, police say
Columbus Police Maj. Paul Ezell, head of the Bureau of Support Services, said 95 wrecks ended without injures and an additional 11 resulted in injuries. More than 60 of those incident occurred before noon, officials stated.
Police said 27 collisions have been reported since Thursday morning, with only four of those leading to injuries. No one was seriously harmed.
Ezell said the roads have improved since yesterday, but it would still be best to stay off of the roads. There are some areas with patches of black ice hidden in the shade.
"Be careful," he urged drivers. "Slow down, especially in the shady areas."
