Miss Georgia competition postponed for 2020. Here’s when it will take place

The annual Miss Georgia Scholarship Competition will now take place in the summer of 2021, rather than this year as originally planned, according to a press release from the organization.

The competition, which was first rescheduled to July 22-25 in Columbus and later moved to the week of June 20, will now be held in June 2021. The decision was made after the Miss Georgia Scholarship Competition Board of Directors voted to postpone the competition.

Current Miss Georgia Victoria Hill will continue to hold the title until June 15, according to the press release. After that date, the title of Miss Georgia will be filled by current local titleholders across the state as needed.

The competition is held annually at the RiverCenter and is sponsored by many local businesses and companies, including Aflac, WC Bradley Real Estate and Wicked Hen Restaurant.
