Did you know...

  • The Springer Opera House, opened in 1871, was a cultural center for Columbus until the economic impact of the Great Depression began its downfall. The space was going to be demolished before volunteers worked to restore the building, becoming the first Board of Trustees for the Springer.

  • The Columbus Museum was founded in 1953, and is one of the largest museums in the Southeast. The museum concentrates on both American art and regional history.

  • A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium is the third oldest stadium in Georgia and seats 15,000. It hosts the Ft. Valley State - Albany State Classic and Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic football games.
