Money is being raised to help the parents of the three Columbus brothers who were killed in a car accident last week.

The boys died from injuries suffered during an Oct. 19 crash in Le Flore County, Oklahoma. They were ages 6, 8 and 9, and they were in the first, third and fourth grades at Dorothy Height Elementary School, according to the Muscogee County School District.

Aisha Holt, who says she is the brothers’ aunt, identified them as Izayiah, Ja’Quan and Messiah Brittford on the fundraiser page she established on GoFundMe.com.

She describes them as “sweet young men with such a huge heart and a smile that would light up world. There aren’t words to describe the vast emptiness that there will be now with them absent. If you could please share or donate anything towards covering the funeral expenses, it would be greatly appreciated.”

As of noon Friday, $2,976 has been raised in seven days from 52 donors. The goal is $30,000.
