Columbus residents can now meet the Ledger-Enquirer staff at the library. Here’s how.
Staff from the Ledger-Enquirer will be available to residents who would like to meet us at the Columbus Public Library this week.
Every third Thursday of the month staff from the Ledger-Enquirer will make themselves available in the library at 3000 Macon Road. Reporter will next be in the library on June 20.
The Ledger-Enquirer recently announced changes to the print schedule that focuses our efforts online, and readers can meet with Georgia Editor Jeremy Chisenhall and other staff to learn more or find answers to their questions.
During this monthly library event, readers can also visit to get help with digital subscriptions, learn more about advertising or contacting customer service, find answers to questions they have about the paper, give us story ideas or meet a reporter or editor.
Ledger-Enquirer staff will be located in the Thomas Study Room on the second Floor in the Genealogy Department from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates:
June 20
July 18
Aug. 15
We hope to make the reporting process and staff more transparent to Columbus residents. This move comes after the paper launched Curious Columbus, a tool allowing readers to submit story ideas and questions they would like a reporter to cover.
The Ledger-Enquirer hopes these changes will increase engagement with readers and deliver reporting Columbus residents are most interested in.
It’s important that staff is out in the community as much as possible to effectively cover Columbus, Chisenhall said.
“This will give local residents a time and place to come find us,” he said. “And I’m excited to see what will come from it.”
