Coroner seeks help finding the family of a man who died after being hit by car in Columbus
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan is asking the public for help in locating family members of the man who died Friday after being hit by a car in Columbus.
The Columbus Police Department said the incident happened at 9:26 p.m. Friday on Fifth Ave. near 20th St., according to a post on the CPD X account, formerly Twitter.
Bryan identified the victim as Robert Gerald Norman, 62. He was pronounced dead at 10:01 p.m. Friday, according to Bryan.
The police department said one other person was taken to a hospital after suffering injuries in the crash.
