Columbus road closure: Part of busy street is scheduled to be closed for 11 days

Part of a busy downtown Columbus street is scheduled to be closed for 11 days.

From May 11-22, the section of 10th Street between First and Second avenues will be closed to eastbound traffic, the Columbus Consolidated Government announced. Westbound traffic will be allowed to continue as normal.

The closure will accommodate installing infrastructure for construction of the new Columbus Judicial Center, according to CCG’s news release.

Detour signs for the eastbound traffic along that section of 10th Street will be provided via First Avenue, Ninth Street and Second Avenue, the news release says.

For more information about this closure, contact Columbus Department of Inspections and Code director Ryan Pruett at rpruett@columbusga.org or 706-225-3878.
