A 16-year-old died at the hospital early Saturday after a drive-by shooting in north Columbus, authorities said.

Joshua Huff was pronounced dead at 1:48 a.m. in the Piedmont Columbus Regional emergency room, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan. He said Huff died from multiple wounds after a shooting in the 6200 block of Cross Tie Court, which is off Gateway Road in a neighborhood bordering Flat Rock Park.

According to Columbus police, officers called at 1:15 a.m. found Huff wounded in front of an apartment where witnesses said he had been standing outside with others when shots were fired from a black Range Rover passing by,
