A second suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a woman on Grove Park Drive in August 2024, the Columbus Police Department announced Tuesday.

Police said Keshon Corbin, 31, was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder in connection with the death of Jabreia Burston, 24.

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on Aug. 27, 2024, at Grove Park Apartments, according to CPD.

Police said Burston was shot multiple times and was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional, where she died the afternoon of Aug. 28, 2024.

Corbin is scheduled to appear at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Columbus Recorder’s Court.

Previous arrest in the case

Corbin’s arrest comes after Marques Lattimore, 22, was arrested Oct. 24 in connection with Burston’s death. Lattimore is charged with murder, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to police.

Lattimore appeared Oct. 28 in Columbus Recorder’s Court and pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to police. Lattimore was denied bond, and the case was bound over to Superior Court, police said.

Lattimore was out on bond after being charged with home invasion and armed robbery charges in a separate case when he was arrested, according to the news release.
