Warrants served in Columbus shooting police say stemmed from domestic dispute

Criminal charges, including murder, have been filed against a man in connection with the shooting death of a woman Thursday on Gardiner Drive, the Columbus Police Department announced Friday.

Police said detectives served warrants on Kevawn Davenport, 22, while he remained hospitalized and received treatment for his injuries.

Davenport is charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in connection with the death of Lexus Antrom, 28, following the shooting in the 4500 block of Gardiner Drive, according to the news release.

Police said responding officers found Antrom shot and unresponsive, along with a male with a gunshot wound.

The shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute involving Davenport and Antrum, according to the news release.

Police urge anyone with information about the case to contact Sgt. Donna Baker at 706-225-4296 or DBaker@columbusga.org.
