2nd suspect charged with murder in shooting of Columbus teen in LaGrange
A second suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in the February shooting of a Columbus teen in LaGrange.
The LaGrange Police Department announced Monday night that a 16-year-old was arrested in Columbus and charged with felony murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery in the Feb. 3 shooting death of Marshawn Bailey, 18.
That arrest and those criminal charges follow the LPD’s Feb. 4 announcement of the arrest of another 16-year-old, who was charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during certain crimes.
The Ledger-Enquirer doesn’t publish the names of juvenile crime suspects.
Both teens are being charged as an adult, but due to their age, they were taken to a youth detention facility, LPD said.
