Woman dies in Columbus shooting in a Dollar General. Police investigating

The Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a deadly shooting for the second day in a row.

A post on the department’s X page says officers are in the area of Victory Drive and Marathon Drive regarding a shooting Tuesday.

Police say one person is dead. Multiple CPD vehicles are on the scene. Crime scene tape surrounds the area around a Dollar General. Investigators are in the store.

CPD public information officer Brittany Santiago told the Ledger-Enquirer police responded shortly after 10 a.m. to the incident that occurred in the Dollar General. Santiago said the victim is a woman.
