Search and rescue crews are scouring a central Ohio reservoir for a person who fell into the water while fishing on the afternoon of Saturday, March 25, officials said.

Two people were fishing together on Hoover Reservoir — roughly 14 miles north of downtown Columbus — when a strong gust of wind capsized their boat, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources told McClatchy News.

The pair was taking part in a fishing tournament, TV station WBNS reported.

One was rescued but the other is missing, officials said in a release.

Officers with the Department of Natural Resources searched the lake Saturday, but were forced to suspend the search “due to weather,” the release said.

The Columbus Police Department’s marine patrol is carrying on the search effort as of March 26, according to officials.
