Absentee voting for president? Here’s a list of ballot drop-off spots in Columbus

Columbus now has four drop boxes across the city for absentee ballots, with a fifth on the way, ahead of November’s presidential election.

Two of the boxes went up this week, said Nancy Boren, Muscogee County director of elections and registration.

Here’s where you can cast your absentee vote.

  • City Services Center, 311 Citizen Way: There are two ways to drop off on an absentee ballot. There’s secure walk up box that is fixed permanently into the ground and a drive-up box where ballots can be submitted.
  • Frank D. Chester Recreation Center, 1441 Benning Drive: One of two new ballot boxes installed this week, ballots can be dropped off via car.

  • Columbus Health Department, 5601 Veterans Parkway: The newest ballot box location is walk-up only.

Boren said the location for the fifth drop-off box has not yet been determined.

To get a mail-in ballot, you can request one online via your My Voter Page, ran by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.
