Phenix City police catch suspect in Sunday fatal shooting

Phenix City police have captured the suspect sought in the fatal shooting Sunday of Kishard Miller.

Officers called at 12:33 a.m. to 1310 Eighth St. found Miller dead from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was 30 years old.

Investigators announced Sunday that they had warrants charging 33-year-old Jasper Jermaine Miller with murder, and were searching for the suspect.

Miller was arrested at 11 p.m. Monday and held in the Russell County Jail, police said.
