The Senate today gave its approval to a proposed constitutional amendment to permit consolidation of the Columbus and Muscogee County tax assessors offices, but delayed action on a proposal to create a city-county building commission.
Blue Lights
Police vehicles in Muscogee County will soon have blue dome lights instead of red ones if a bill passed by the State Senate is signed into law by Gov. Carl Sanders.
Teen Drinking
"We just ordered the beer and the waitress didn't ask for IDs," the tall, bespectacled teenager nervously told Recorder's Court Judge T. M. Flournoy. The waitress was bound to City Court on a $250 bond.
