Expressways Will Tie In With City

Plans for three expressways radiating from Columbus have been submitted by the State Highway Department. One would connect Columbus and Augusta by way of Macon. Another would cross the state to Brunswick via Albany, Tifton and Waycross. The third would link Columbus to Atlanta.

Found Dead

An employee of Federal Services Finance Corporation, who testified before a Congressional committee investigating the firm's dealings with servicemen, was found dead in his car at Fort Benning Friday. The body of Francis Joseph Byrnes, 52, a retired Army officer and a veteran claims adjuster, was discovered about 8:22 a.m.
