Soundoff for Friday, September 4, 2015

Pick of the day

What I believe is right. What you believe is wrong. Agree with me or I will call you a lot of mean names and you will be exposed as a bad person.

Wrong culprit

Big business does not send jobs overseas. It's done by liberal labor unions that get the price of labor so high that businesses can't make their product in this country and remain competitive.

Voice of reason

Read Mr. Thomas' long explanation, confirming what I already knew: If there are two consistently dissenting votes, it is better to have one who is reasonable and pragmatic instead of a childish bullying bomb thrower.

Diversion tactic

The best thing about criticizing Myers and Thomas is that it changes the subject and makes people forget twenty percent of our schools are in a state of perpetual failure.

Self-defeating

You contribute to your retirement and medical programs all your working life and then vote for Republicans who want to take it away. Think about that before you vote again.

He literally died laughing

In 1660, Scottish writer Thomas Urqhart died from a laughing fit upon learning that Charles II had become king. Trump's election will have the same effect on the United States.

Spiking the evidence

"So far, legal experts find no criminal wrongdoing in thousands of Hillary emails." That's not counting the thousands she deleted, of course. But she wouldn't delete anything incriminating. She's a lawyer, and honest, right?

Political dealing

Obama used the race card to be elected and Clinton will use the gender card to get elected.

Controlled from the top

Party bigwigs don't care what voters want. Democrats protect Hillary from debating Sanders and others. Republicans want to bring back Romney if Bush fails. These powerful manipulators expect voters to do their bidding.
