Sound Off for Sunday, October 18, 2015
You believe your time is more important than somebody's life. You're willing to risk killing someone to save seconds by running red lights. Someday you'll succeed. Then you'll have all the time in the world.
Judeo-Christian family
Pope Benedict XVI said "the Jews are our older brothers." Isn't it time we aided our only allies in the Arab world?
'Do' what? Spell it out
To members of the House and Senate pressuring Obama to do something about Russia and Syria: Do you guys want World War III? I know you have a lot of friends in the defense industry.
After a while, it's just noise
Dogs that bark constantly do not deter thieves. It's like crying "Wolf!" It actually happened to me, as I ignored my neighbor's dog barking, not realizing his home was being burglarized.
No such 'declaration'
Journalists report answering loaded questions as "declaring" something, like when Ben Carson said he would not support a Muslim who put Sharia Law above the Constitution: "Carson announces he would ban Muslims from presidency."
Stumbling on friendly ground
That wasn't a Fox interview that made the President look totally incompetent. That was "60 Minutes." How will the liberals spin this? The world is finally realizing how clueless he is.
In case you hadn't noticed
Some people weren't paying attention. Obama saved us from a bankruptcy that Bush put us in.
A 'cure' in search of an illness
Jeb Bush's new health plan: Flush Obamacare, cut employer payments, limit illnesses covered and no pre-existing conditions coverage. Seventeen million people would be dropped and forced to go back to emergency rooms. Jerk.
Ask the Rangers themselves
If Republican Rep. Steve Russell wants Ranger training records he should come to the Ranger Training Brigade and ask for them.
Climate control
All the Democrats' candidates agree that "climate change" is the US's most critical problem. I agree, and I think it's time to change the political climate of Washington.
Go to the source
People sick of hearing about Hillary's missing emails should complain to her. She's too greedy and narcissistic not to have copies squirreled away for future books when statutes of limitations expire.
Don't be fooled
Beware of Ben Carson's erudite manner and easygoing ways. He speaks with the tongue of the Serpent.
