I just read a story about 12 foods that have more sugar than Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Yes! My worst fears are over I can eat doughnuts guilt-free as now they can be considered a diet food.

The money and the talent are already there

Ben Carson wants to privatize the Department of Veterans Affairs. Better idea: Cut the Military-Industrial Complex budget and hire veterans (perfect administrators) to oversee our veterans' needs.

One place to recover costs

The reserve fund balance would be in better health if the city didn't have to pay the legal fees of Sheriff Darr and Clerk Bishop. It will help when those fees are recovered.

Uniform concerns

Will Trump's new immigration police squads wear jackboots? Will they have brown or black shirt uniforms? Will they have an American flag shoulder patch or just a big "T"? These are questions to ponder.

And what will it cost then?

There will come a time when so many students are "given" a college degree without having to work for it that a degree will mean nothing.

I'll tell you who gives Donald Trump more free publicity than anybody out there -- it's none other than MSNBC, the DNC network. They won't stop talking about him.

Diversion tactics

If all the Republicans can say in the debates are anti-Hillary comments, how are we going to know what they would do? Maybe that's the idea.

You were right all along

After much pondering, I finally realized gays are right. What goes on behind closed doors between two consenting adults should be their private business. Now please shut up, close those doors, and leave us alone.

Easy way to prove your point

To dispel the myth that Republicans hate Hispanics, the candidates should propose to deport Caucasian illegal aliens first, then Asians, etc., and deport the Hispanic ones last, taking 8 years to deport them all.

Never concede

I would rather see Georgia Tech close down before giving in to protesters. And so would my daddy.

What is this saving?

If we are trying to save money with once-a-week pickup, why are yard waste trucks running two days a week now?
