Central voted No. 1 in Class 7A poll for fifth straight week

After a 62-7 victory Friday, it was no surprise where Central ranked in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association polls.

The Red Devils held onto the top spot in Class 7A in the latest polls. It is the fifth consecutive week Central has held the top spot in its classification.

Central’s status as the top 7A school will be tested Friday, when they host rival Opelika.

Below are the ASWA polls in their entirety. Please note that the number in parentheses represents the number of first-place votes the team received, and the number to the right is the total points it received from the voters.
