Central holds on to Class 7A’s top spot in latest ASWA rankings

For the fourth week in a row, the Central Red Devils are the No. 1 team in the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s Class 7A poll.

The 3-0 Red Devils drew 22 first-place votes this week following an unexpected bye week due to Hurricane Irma. Central returns to the field Friday, when it hosts Smiths Station.
