Donovan “DJ” Colvin is the Ledger-Enquirer High School Boys Athlete of the Week, based on our online poll.
As a junior running back and defensive back on the St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School football team, DJ rushed for 121 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries and caught two passes for 28 yards, in the Vikings’ 24-7 home win Oct. 3 over Calvary Christian.
We invited the athletics director at each public and private high school in Muscogee County, Harris County, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City, Russell County and Smiths Station to nominate a male student for this poll.
Among this week’s four nominees, DJ received 87% of the 3,679 votes from our readers. Voting started Monday and ended at noon Friday. The poll has no limit on the number of times a person can vote. Here are the complete final results:
