Ledger-Enquirer names 2019 All-Bi-City Fall Softball Team, players, coaches of the year
The story lines are abundant on the Ledger-Enquirer’s 2019 All-Bi-City Fall Softball Team.
Harris County nearly won the class 5A state championship. The Tigers began the tournament with a loss in their opening game, but won several win-or-go-home matchups to to reach the finals of the 5A championship series. The Tigers beat Whitewater, Walnut Grove, Jones County and Buford to reach the championship series, which they lost to Locust Grove.
Columbus and Shaw made the Sweet 16 of the 4A playoffs, while Northside finished fourth in the state after losing to state championship runner-up Marist in the playoffs. Brookstone made the second round of the 1A private playoffs. Marion County also made the Elite 8 of the 1A public tournament.

TOP INDIVIDUAL HONORS
Player of the Year: Northside senior Raelee Weaver
Hitter of the Year: Northside freshman Savanna Bedell
Pitcher of the Year: Harris County senior Zoe Willis
Coach of the Year: Sam Harrison of Harris County
FIRST TEAM
Pitchers: Northside senior Ireland Cavanaugh and Marion County senior Britney Foster.
Infielders: Marion County junior Lexi Exum, Northside senior Mary Beth Cahalan, Columbus junior Christine Vaughn, Harris County junior Sydney Stewart, Shaw senior Gabby “Gigi” Falcon and Hardaway senior Iyana “Bean” Taylor.
Outfielders: Harris County senior Brianna King, Marion County freshman Jeanna Kate Shivers, Northside freshman Claire Cahalan, Columbus junior Alexis Day, Brookstone sophomore Molly Gayles and Carver senior Trinity Morris.
