Columbus Cottonmouths fall to 0-6
PEORIA, Illi. — The Columbus Cottonmouths fell to 0-6 with a 3-1 loss to Peoria on Saturday night.
Michael McCann scored in the first period at 18:18 for the Rivermen.
Dan Bremner, who played with Columbus last season, gave Peoria a 2-0 lead 16:02 into the second period.
Columbus finally got on the board on a Mike Switzer goal at 18:23 of the second period. Matt Gingera had the assist.
Alexandre Carrier scored an empty-net goal at 19:11 of the final period for Peoria.
Columbus goalkeeper stopped 33 of 35 shots.
Columbus will play Peoria again at 4 p.m. Sunday.
