Cottonmouths fall to Peoria, remain winless at home

The Columbus Cottonmouths jumped out to an early lead, in the end, however, the Rivermen stormed back with four unanswered goals in the final two periods, defeating the Snakes 4-2 before a crowd of 1,843. It kept the Snakes winless at home in nine straight, dating back to March 22 of last season, and was the fifth straight loss overall.

Feeding and Reading program fosters reading by offering kids a book for dessert

Columbus High rising senior Libby Paul has collected more than 2,000 books and is giving them to students who eat for free this summer as part of the Seamless Summer Feeding Program in Muscogee County schools. The program is Feeding and Reading.
