Columbus Cottonmouths lose again to Peoria

PEORIA, Illi. — The Columbus Cottonmouths fell to 0-7 with a 2-1 loss to the Peoria Rivermen on Sunday afternoon.It was the second loss to Peoria in less than 24 hours. Columbus lost 3-1 on Saturday night.

Kyle Fletcher scored both of Peoria’s goals Sunday in the second period. The first one came at the 5:50 mark with the. second one at 14:20.

Matt Gingera scored Columbus’ goal at 8:26 of the final period.

The Cottonmouths managed just 17 shots.

Andrew Loewen stopped 34 of 36 shots he faced.

The Snakes return home to face Fayetteville on Nov. 21.
