Cottonmouths win ninth straight, in shootout over Louisiana
LAFAYETTE, La. — The Columbus Cottonmouths beat Louisiana 4-3 in a shootout on Friday night for their ninth straight win.
Matt Gingera scored the game-winner for the Snakes. He was the sixth Columbus player in the shootout.
Bryce Williamson, the second, had also scored for the Snakes.
Adam Stuart, who went first for the IceGators, was the lone one to score in the shootout against Columbus goalie Andrew Loewen.
Patrick McCadden, Gingera and Louis Belisle scored goals in regulation for the Snakes.
The two teams okay again Saturday night at the Columbus Civic Center at 7:30.
