The SPHL playoffs begin this week with six teams playing in best-of-three series.
The Columbus Cottonmouths, the No. 2 seed, will open the SPHL playoffs on the road at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at fifth-seeded Knoxville.
The series returns to the Columbus Civic Center for Game 2 on Friday, also at 7:30 p.m.
If a third game is necessary, Columbus will again be the host on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Peoria, the regular-season champion and the top seed, is playing sixth-seeded Louisiana. Game 1 is in Lafayette, La., on Wednesday. Game 2 will be at Peoria on Friday. Game 3 would be in Peoria on Saturday if it is necessary.
The other series has third-seed Pensacola hosting fourth-seeded Mississippi on Wednesday for Game 1. Game 2 is slated for Mississippi on Friday. Game 3, if necessary, would be played in Pensacola.
