Snakes rally but lose to Ice Bears
The Columbus Cottonmouths rallied twice to tie Knoxville, but the Ice Bears went on to a 42 victory on Saturday night.
Dennis Sicard scored for Knoxville (200) 42 seconds into the game for a 1-0 lead in the first period.
Columbus' Louis Belisle scored at 1:09 of the second period to tie the game. Rusty
Hafner and Chris Rial had the assists.
Doug Reid scored the first of his three goals as Knoxville took a 21 lead at 16:57 of the second period.
Columbus' Tyler Henry tied the game at 2:01 of the third period. Shawn Bates and Ben
O'Quinn had the assists. It was Henry's second goal of the season.
Reid closed out the scoring with goals at 9:18 and 18:51, the last one an empty-netter. Columbus hosts Mississippi at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
