Snakes win second game of season, 3-2 over Knoxville
The Columbus Cottonmouths picked up their second victory of the season Saturday night, 3-2 over Knoxville.
Craig Sumchuck got the Snakes on the board at 10:08 of the first period.
Knoxville tied the game at 10:20 of the second period on a goal from Zack LaRue.
Columbus scored the next two goals only 32 seconds apart. Tyler Henry scored at 15:24,then Shawn Bates scored at 15:56.
Brad Pawlowski scored for Knoxville at 17:24.
Neither team scored in the third period.
Brandon Jaeger stopped 33 of 35 shots to earn the win in goal for Columbus.
Columbus (2-5-3) has seven points but still sits in last place in the SPHL, two points behind Macon.
Columbus hosts Knoxville on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
