Szabados gets first shutout against Huntsville

Columbus goalie Shannon Szabados stopped all 33 shots she faced and recorded her first shutout in a 3-0 victory on Saturday night.

Szabados improved her record to 3-5-3-1.

After a scoreless first period, the Cottonmouths got on the board when Ben O'Quinn scored just 2:19 into the second period. Andy Willigar and Kyle Brodie got the assists.

Louis Belisle gave Columbus a 2-0 lead 4:26 into the final period. Chris Rial got the assist.

Rial scored the final goal at 9:39. Belisle and Andy Bathgate got the assists.
