Columbus Cottonmouths fall to Louisiana in overtime

LAFAYETTE, La. -- Jake Jake Hauswirth scored 30 seconds into overtime to give Louisiana a 3-2 win over Columbus on Friday night.

After the IceGators took a 2-0 lead with a pair of John Daniels goals in the second period, Columbus tied it in the third.

John Jackson scored at 7:47 with assists by Andy Bathgate and Chris Rial.

Ben O'Quinn tied it at 16:43 with assists by Louis Belisle and Shawn Bates.

Columbus goalie Brandon Jaeger stopped 21 of the 24 shots he faced.
